We heard Sierra Sustainable Builder's had a good reputation in town, so when we where ready to build our new house we met with them and knew right away that it was a good match.  They are not your typical contractors.  In addition, they turned us onto green building practices which was very interesting.  In fact, we ended up implementing so many of them we were able to get the home green points certified.  Danny and Cory take their time to do things right and are great guys to work with.  We are still friends 4 years later.

Sierra Sustainable Builders built a major add on and remodeled many parts of my home.  I found them to be more than just contractors completing a job, as they were clearly passionate about their work, often went the extra mile, and did not work on typical "Tahoe Time."   A few years later I had another home remodel and found a contractor who provided a lower cost bid, than Sierra Sustainable Builders.  The "lower bid" eventually proved to be the same or higher than the bid provided by Sierra Sustainable Builders, and there were many challenges in the later remodel that Sierra Sustainable Builders were able to overcome easily during their prior work on my house.  Ultimately, I believe Sierra Sustainable Builders would have cost less, and most importantly completed the job much more quickly and with much less hassle.  I highly encourage people to hire Sierra Sustainable Builders.
